Playa Dominical is a world famous surf beach located within the small Bohemian beach town, Dominical.

It boasts one the best surf breaks in all of Costa Rica and is constantly being praised by surf bloggers and trip enthusiasts alike.

Known for its constant waves, beautiful landscapes, tasty restaurants, and vivid beach markets, Playa Dominical is a place you will definitely want to take advantage of during the duration of your stay.

Another world famous surf beach, Playa Hermosa, is located just 15 minutes from Escaleras Escape and is the perfect spot for beginner-intermediate surfers.

The closest beach to Escaleras Escape, Playa Dominicalito, aka “Little Dominical,” is a beautiful palm tree lined bay and the perfect place for beginner-intermediate surfers.

Marino Ballena National Park is home to the world famous whale’s tale, a sand bar that at low tide literally creates the shape of a massive whale’s tale. The park protects 5,510 hectares of sandy beaches, mangrove estuaries, lowland rainforests, and marine habitats.

The massive beaches are a beautiful golden color and with over 14 km (8.6 miles) of beachfront, you could spend days in the park and still not have explored the entire thing.

Paradise is defined as any place of ideal loveliness or beauty. There are tons of beaches around that can be labeled as such, but only one can withstand the true meaning of paradise; and that my friends is Playa Linda.

Located just 25 minutes from Escaleras Escape, this mesmerizing black sand beach is the ideal spot to hang a hammock, have a picnic, and catch some waves.

Playa Ventanas is a small sandy palm tree lined bay situated between two cliff faces and outlined with stunning mountain views in the background.

The most popular time to visit Playa Ventanas is low tide when the water recedes and opens up two caves for you to explore on the North side of the beach.
