Playa Dominicalito is conveniently located right at the bottom of the mountain and is the closest beach to Escaleras Escape.

This small beautiful palm-tree lined bay is the perfect place for a beginner surf session or more chill swim session as the waves tend to be small and consistent. (Check the swell forecast before heading out.)

Do be mindful of the rocks. The best place to swim is down to the left when you pull in.

There is a small shop at the entrance to the beach where you can purchase smoothies, beers, fresh coconuts, and small bites.

You also have a few options there for renting surf boards and surf lessons.

Playa Dominicalito is truly where the jungle meets the sea and will definitely not disappoint!

Take a left at Blue Butterfly Rock and take the Poza Azul road down to the highway.

Turn right onto the Costanera Sur and the entrance to Playa Dominicalito is your first turn on the left. (Right after the bridge—look for the Mama Toucan’s Sign at the bus stop.)
